Childish Affective Attachment Disorder : This disorder appears in the form of the child’s failure to start communication with others or respond to them with a smile or interact with them or show expressions of pleasure, curiosity, fear, anger, or attention and not responding to humors and sometimes non-discrimination by making excessive familiarity with strangers he sees for the first time. in addition to lack of movement, Sleeping a lot, muscle weakness and grasping things, and this disorder begins before the age of five, and infants with this disorder often have a narrow field of vision with a lack of response even to the closest people, such as the mother’s voice and lack of mutual stare with her, as well as the lack of visual or verbal communication in her presence with him and the disorder is accompanied by symptoms Such as lack of eating, rumination or vomiting, and sometimes sleep disturbances.
Accordingly, some people may be confused about it and understand it as autism disorders, although there are significant differences between autism and emotional attachment disorder.
The causes of the problem:
1- Not taking into consideration the child’s psychological and physical needs, such as a feeling of emotional interest from parents, nutrition and the need for being relax.
2- Physical causes: mental retardation, deafness, blindness, deficiencies in some organs of the body, or chronic physical illness, and this requires medical intervention.
3 – Cruelty in treating the child or ignoring him.
4- Repetitive absence of the mother for long periods or frequent change of nannies who follow to take care of the child.
5 – Severe depression of the mother or the nanny.
6- The mother or the nanny feels disappointed because of the child’s sluggishness.
Treating the problem:
1- Parents’ opinions should not be relied upon, especially if the child’s neglect is expected from their side.
2- Teaching the mother and father how to take care of the child by setting up psychological and educational counseling sessions for the parents to teach them how to deal with their child so that the problem does not getting worse.
3- Improving the psychosocial conditions for the educator and replacing it.
